GST plays big role in development of Bihar, says Tarkishore Prasad

Patna, July 1, 2022: Bihar deputy chief minister Tarkishore Prasad said that GST played a big role in the development of the state. Last year Bihar collected Rs 36000 crore GST revenue. The minister was speaking at a function that was organsied to celebrate GST Day.

The GST Day is celebrated across the country on July 1. Prasad said that GST was implemented across the country on July 1, 2017to bring uniformity in the tax system. He also held meeting with commercial tax department officials and office-bearers of different traders organisations.

The Bihar deputy chief minister also flagged off GST vehicles which will travel across the state to keep a close eye on GST collection.
