Police cane RJD student leaders; many hurt
Police resorted to lathicharge and burst teargas shells to disperse the activists of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) students’ wing (Chhatra RJD) in Patna on July 22, 2010. RJD students’ wing activists took out procession demanding CBI probe into the alleged multi-crore central fund scam. Police swung into action when the demonstrators tried to cross the iron barricade at R-Block round about and march towards Bihar Assembly. Several students were hurt in the lathicharge.

As the Opposition members have been suspended, the proceedings in Bihar Assembly went on peacefully on July 22, 2010.
Talking to the scribes, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar criticised the Opposition for "transgressing the limit" in their bid to disrupt proceedings of the two Houses of the state legislature for two days .

Police use force to disperse agitating Sanskrit and Madrasa teachers
Police resorted to burst teargas shells and used water cannons to disperse an unruly demonstration of Sanskrit and Madrasa teachers at R-Block round about in Patna on July 21, 2010. Sanskrit and Madrasa teachers were staging demonstration in support of their long-pending demands. Police swung into action when teachers attempted to cross the iron barricade and march towards State Assembly. Many teachers were injured in the melee.

A drama outside Bihar Assembly
67 Opposition MLAs in Bihar were suspended for unruly behaviour and marshalled out of Bihar Assembly as complete pandemonium prevailed inside and outside the Assembly in Patna on July 21, 2010. A slipper was flung at the Speaker and a woman member threw several flower pots around.
42 Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MLAs were suspended by Assembly Speaker Uday Narayan Choudhary for the rest of the Monsoon session with both the Assembly and the Legislative council witnessing turmoil for the second straight day.
More drama was enacted outside the Legislative Council when a suspended Congress MLC Jyoti Kumari excitedly threw flower pots and created a ruckus when the watch and ward staff tried to prevent her from entering the house.

Rashi Jain wins Tanishq Dulhan Contest
The third and final round of Tanishq Dulhan Contest was organised in Patna on July 20, 2010. The conest was organised in tire II cities across the country. The winners of each round will be on the billboards in their respective cities displaying their bridal dresses and ornaments.
Rashi Jain of Patna was declared winner of the third round.
