Bihar Governor Ram Nath Kovind inaugurated an extension centre of Government Women's Polytechnic in the Governor's House premises in Patna on July 15, 2016. The polytechnic extension centre will run by Mahila Imdad Samiti (Raj Bhavan) at Industrial Training Institute under skill development scheme.

Union Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Thaawar Chand Gehlot and Union Minister Ram Kripal Yadav gave away tricycles and other articles to physically challenged persons in Danapur on July 14, 2016. Bihar Social Justice Minister Manju Verma was present on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Gehlot said central government had been working without any discrimination. "Our Prime Minister believes that nation will be developed if states get developed", he said.
