Patna University student found dead in Saidpur hostel

Dilip Kumar (26), a post graduate student of Patna University was found dead in hostel No 2 of Saidpur complex under Bahadurpur police station in Patna on December 27, 2011. It was alleged that Dilip was strangulated to death by a CRPF jawan ans his associates over a love tangle. The incidents sparked anger among the students of the Patna University as they gathered at the spot and vented their ire on CRPF camp by throwing bricks and stones. Police swung into action and controlled the situation.

Two youths injured in mishap; angry residents block new bypass road

Two bike riders were injured when a speeding Scorpio hit their motorcycle on new bypass road under Jakkanpur police station in Patna on December 27, 2011. Injured youths were admitted to a private nursing home. The incidents sparked anger among the local residents as they blocked the NH 30 and tried to torch the four-wheeler. Police swung into action and resorted to mild lathicharge to quell the mob.
