HAM led by Jitan Ram Manjhi to join NDA

In a major setback to Grand Alliance led by RJD, former Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi's party Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM Secular) will join the NDA on September 3. Manjhi told this to scribes in a Press conference in Patna on September 2, 2020.
Sources said that Manjhi may be sent to the Rajya Sabha. Manjhi can get a ticket from JD(U) quota as soon as the Bihar seat in Rajya Sabha becomes vacant. There is possibility that JD(U) will give 10 seats to HAM in Bihar Assembly election from its own quota.
Some HAM leaders may also contest the election in JD (U) symbol.  Last month, Manjhi left the Grand Alliance.
Manjhi said that he would unconditionally join the NDA as a partner. "Our party Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) will not merge with JD(U). We will work as NDA's support team. We have no condition, " he said.
