Bihar Government signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the New Pension Scheme Trust (NPS Trust) in Patna on March 4, 2010 on the pattern of the Centre making it mandatory for government employees to contribute 10 per cent of their salary towards pension scheme.The MOU was signed between CEO of NPS Trust N R Rayalu and Secretary (Expenditutre) to the Bihar Government Mihir Singh in the presence of the Chief Secretary Anup Mukherjee.
Trust CEO N R Rayalu said State Bank of India, Unit Trust of India and Life Insurance Corporation of India had been selected as fund managers.
