Baburao Chandawar, a Sarvodaya leader and a close associate of Jai Prakash Narayan, who was on an indefinite hunger-strike for the last one week before the Gandhi Smarak, broke his strike in Patna on July 3, 2010.Chandawar sat on hunger-strike demanding distribution of Bhoodanland, occupation of Bhoodan land distributed among the landless and implementation of the D Bandhopadhaya Commission report on land reforms.
