Khuda Bakhsh Oriental Public Library (KBPL) organised its annual lecture series on "Whither Higher Eduaction in India" in Patna on August 2, 2010. Shahid Mahdi, vice-chairman, Indian Council for Cultural Relation (ICCR) was the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, Mahdi expressed his grave conceren over the poor academic condition in India.
