Dr CP Thakur withdraws his resignation

After a day-long hectic parlays, BJP Bihar unit president Dr CP Thakur withdrew his resignation from the party post following talks with BJP national president Niton Gadkari in Nagpur. Thakur said he would continue to lead the party in Bihar Assembly election.

Earlier, BJP workers staged demonstration at party headquarters in Patna on October 9, 2010 in support of Dr Thakur.

Meanwhile, Senior BJP leader Ashwini Chaubey (top) said that he had not resigned from the core committee of the party.
