Much-needed break for political party leaders

As the Chhath festival fever gripped Bihar, leaders of different political parties took off from hectic election campaigns. BJP national spokesman Shahnawaz Hussain, BJP leaders Rajiv Pratp Rudi, Ravi Shankar Prasad, LJP chief Ram Vilas Paswan and Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee president Mahboob Ali Kaiser were seen at Patna airport on November 10, 2010 to catch flights for New Delhi. The leaders, however, will begin election campaign for their respective parties from November 14 for the sixth and last phase of Bihar Assembly election to be held on November 20.

Talking to reporters BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain demanded registration of an FIR against Ashok Chavan, who stepped down as the Maharashtra Chief Minister in connection with the Adarsh society scam.

"Mere resignation from the post of chief minister will not do... FIRs should be registered against Chavan and others involved in the Adarsh society scam," he said.
