Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar launches food security scheme

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar launched food security scheme under National Food Security Act in Patna on February 1, 2014. In the first phase, the scheme has been launched in Patna, Nalanda, Gopalganj and Purnia districts. The beneficiaries of the scheme will get 5kg of foodgrain every month, wheat at Rs 2 per kg and rice at Rs 3 per kg.
