Sunny Deol and Karan Deol Promote Bantwara 1947 in Patna Ahead of Global Release

Patna: One of the most eagerly awaited films of the year, Bantwara 1947, has been produced by Aamir Khan Productions and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. The much-talked-about historical drama is set for a worldwide theatrical release on August 14, 2026.

Following the overwhelming response to its powerful trailer, the film's cast has stepped up promotional activities. On August 2, actor Sunny Deol arrived in Patna with his son Karan Deol to promote Bantwara 1947. During their visit, the duo offered prayers and sought blessings at Takht Sri Harimandir Ji Patna Sahib Gurdwara. They later participated in promotional events, interacting with the media and fans.

Bantwara 1947 portrays the pain and human emotions associated with the Partition of India. The film conveys a message of love, sacrifice, courage and hope in the face of adversity. Its ensemble cast includes Shabana Azmi, Sunny Deol, Preity G Zinta, Karan Deol, Ali Fazal and Abhimanyu Singh in pivotal roles. A major highlight of the project is the reunion of director Rajkumar Santoshi and Sunny Deol, whose successful collaboration returns after nearly three decades.

Produced under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions, the film is directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. Academy Award-winning composer A. R. Rahman has scored the music, while the songs have been penned by renowned lyricist Javed Akhtar. The film has been produced by Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit and is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on August 14, 2026.
