Bihar CM Samrat Choudhary launches Student Assistance Camp

Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on August 25, 2026 inaugurated a ‘Student Assistance Camp’ (Vidyarthi Sahyog Shivir) at Bihar College of Engineering, Bidupur, under the ‘Sabka Samman, Jeevan Aasaan’ campaign of the ‘Saat Nishchay-3’ programme. The initiative aims to ensure effective and timely resolution of problems, complaints and suggestions raised by students studying at educational institutions across Bihar.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister inspected the information and assistance counter set up in the faculty room of the college’s administrative-cum-academic building. He also sought information about the facilities and services being provided to students. Choudhary interacted with students and listened to their problems, complaints and suggestions. He assured them that their concerns would be addressed.

The Chief Minister directed officials to ensure uninterrupted internet connectivity and electricity supply at the Government Engineering College, Vaishali, so that students do not face any difficulty in their studies. He also ordered that alternative accommodation arrangements be made until a permanent hostel facility is available for all students.

Choudhary said Bihar was a unique State where engineering education was being provided for just Rs 10. The State Government was making every possible effort to provide better facilities to students at engineering colleges. He said students’ requirements would be met so that they did not face any difficulties in their studies.

Acting on a request from students, the Chief Minister directed officials to identify a suitable site near the engineering college campus for opening a Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendra. He said the location should be chosen in such a way that not only students but also local residents could benefit from the facility.

He added that steps would be taken to open Jan Aushadhi Kendras at all engineering colleges, polytechnic institutions and Ambedkar hostels across Bihar.

The Chief Minister said resolving students’ problems was a priority for the government. Through the ‘Student Assistance Camp’, students would have an opportunity to place their problems directly before the concerned officials. The government’s aim was to ensure that students did not have to make unnecessary visits to government offices to get their complaints resolved and that their grievances were addressed within the stipulated time.
