Patna: Bihar Governor Lieutenant General (Retd) Syed Ata Hasnain and Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary paid tribute to former minister Upendra Nath Verma on his death anniversary at a state ceremony held at the Shri Krishna Memorial Bhavan complex here on August 28, 2026. They offered floral tributes at his portrait and remembered his contributions.
According to a Bihar Government Press release, Co-operation Minister Ramkripal Yadav, Science, Technology and Technical Education Minister Sheila Kumari, Mines and Geology-cum-Arts and Culture Minister Dr Pramod Kumar, MLA Shyam Rajak, Upendra Nath Verma’s daughter-in-law and Legislative Council member Kumud Verma, Legislative Council members Ravindra Prasad Singh and Jeevan Kumar, along with several other political and social workers and members of Verma’s family, also paid floral tributes to him.
On the occasion, artistes from the Information and Public Relations Department presented aarti and devotional programmes, followed by the national song, national anthem, Bihar song and patriotic songs.
