Bihar CM Nitish Kumar favours central forces in all polling booths


Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said Election Commission should ensure deployment of central forces at all polling booths during the Assembly polls in Bihar. Talking to reporters in Patna on September 6, 2010 he said the Election Commission should take effective steps for holding free, fair, peaceful and fear-free polls.

On Naxal movement Nitish Kumar said he was not alone in saying that Maoists were a part of society and "even Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is making similar statements."

"I have always cooperated with the Centre and except a meeting that Union Minister P Chidambaram held in Kolkata, I attended all other meetings in New Delhi and made suggestions for going into the root of the Maoist problem," he added.
