Comptroller and Auditor General of India celebrates its 150 years

Indian Audit and Accounts Department organised a function to celebrate the closing ceremony of 150 years of the institution of Comptroller and Auditor General of India in Patna on November 16, 2011. Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi and Bihar Assembly Speaker Uday Narayan Choudhary were the chief guests. Addressing the function, Modi called for a review of the role of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India and advocated for a multi-member body of its audit wing like Election Commission of India.

Indian Audit and Accounts Department celebrates 150th anniversary

Indian Audit and Accounts Department (IA&AD) celebrated its 150th anniversary. Preman Dinaraj, Principal Accountant General (Audit) Bihar, inaugurated the function in Patna on November 16, 2010. On the occasion, the department vowed to discharge its constitutional obligation without fear, favour and ill will to prevent misuse of tax payers money and also to meet global challenges.
