Bihar Governor Ram Nath Kovind bats for Bihar Foundation Week




Patna, March 24, 2017: Bihar Governor Ram Nath Kovind batted for seven-day Bihar Diwas celebration function instead of three.
Addressing the closing function of the three-day Bihar Diwas function at Gandhi Maidan here on Friday, he said instead of Bihar Diwas, it should be Bihar Foundation Week celebrations function.
Bihar Education Minister Ashok Choudhary, Leader of Opposition in State Assembly Prem Kumar and MLC Dilip Choudhary were present on the occasion.

Akriti Kakkar rocks Gandhi Maidan in her own style






Patna, March 24, 2017: Noted playback singer Akriti Kakkar captivated the audience with her hit Bollywood numbers on the third and final evening of the three-day Bihar Diwas function in Gandhi Maidan on Friday. Akriti's show was the last cultural programme before the curtains came down on the crowd-pulling event.

Day for activities, evening for music at Gandhi Maidan



Patna, March 23, 2017: The Day Two of the Bihar Diwas function at Gandhi Maidan witnessed several activities through out the day and the evening was enveloped with music.
Classical music, folk dance and other cultural prgrammes by Bihar artists were the order of the day in some pavilions while Bihar Education Project pavilion had debate, discussions and words and painting competitions for students. Nukkad Natak too was staged in different pavilions and the food court remained filled with people enjoying different pan-Indian mouth-watering dishes.
The evening saw laser show and folk songs presented by Malini Awasthi group at Gandhi Maidan.
Love Bandis Blese Mumbai enthralled the audience at SK Memorial Hall with their fusion music and later Rajan-Sajan Mishra took the centre stage reverberating the hall with Hindustani vocal music.

Sunidhi rocks Gandhi Maidan


Patna, March 22, 2017: The main attraction of the Day One in the Bihar Diwas function was noted playback singer Sunidhi Chauhan. She mesmerized the audience with her latest Bollywood hit numbers.
Bihar Education Minister Ashok Choudhary felicitated Sunidhi by presenting her a memento.
Promising Sailesh Kumar anchored the function.

Students take part in quiz and painting contests in Bihar Diwas function


Patna, March 22, 2017: More than 300 students studying in class 6 to 8 from 38 districts of the state participated in the quiz and painting competitions organised by the Bihar Education Project (BEP) to celebrate Bihar Diwas at Gandhi Maidan here on Wednesday.
Sixteen students crossed the first hurdle on Day One. The top three will be selected after tough two more rounds on the morrow.
The BEP set up a spacious pavilion at Bihar Diwas function with lot of educational and play subjects at stakes for students. A cinema zone is also there to view cartoon and other movies for children.

Bihar CM Nitish Kumar inaugurates Bihar Diwas function


Patna, March 22, 2017: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated the Bihar Diwas function at Gandhi Maidan on Wednesday. The chief minister also launched free Wi-Fi facilities in the colleges and universities of the state.
The three-day function got off to a colourful start as pavilions installed by different government departments were seen abuzz with different activities from fun and frolic to educational one.
This year the theme of the function is addiction free Bihar.

Agriculture Department sets up huge pavilion at Bihar Diwas function

Patna, March 22, 2017: Agriculture Department has set up a huge pavilion with 48 stalls inside in the 8th Bihar Diwas function at Gandhi Maidan here. The pavilion witnessed good number of footfalls on the opening day.
One can satisfy his number of queries from these stalls on the latest and modern agriculture techniques and related activities.
