COMFED donates Rs 3 crore to Bihar CM's Relief Fund

COMFED celebrates foundation day

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated the 28th foundation day function of the Bihar State Milk Cooperative Federation (COMFED) at SK Memorial Hall in Patna on April 19, 2011. Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, Animal and Fishery Resources Minister Giriraj Singh, Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh, Road Construction Minister Nand Kishore Yadav, Industry Minister Renu Kumari and Food and Consumer Protection Minister Shyam Rajak were present on the occasion. He also announced government subsidy of Rs 2 per kilogram on Sudha feed.

The Chief Minister gave away cheques to cooperative societies on the occasion.

ERP introduced in COMFED

Bihar Animal and Fishery Resources Minister Giriraj Singh inaugurated Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) at COMFED office in Patna on February 18, 2011. Speaking on the occasion, Singh said dairy industry in Bihar would develop by the implementation of ERP. "It will also bring transparency in the system," he said.

COMFED turns 27

Bihar State Milk Co-operative Federation (COMFED), popularly known by its brand name Sudha, celebrated its 27th foundation day in Patna on April 18, 2010. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated the function. Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, Bihar Co-operative Minister Giriraj Singh, Animal Husbandry Minister Ram Narayan Mandal and COMFED managing director Atish Chandra were present on the occasion. The federation has achieved a record collection of 11.11 lakh kilogram of milk in a day.

Speaking on the occasion, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said COMFED had lot of potential and we should make effort to put Sudha products in each and every household of the country.

Sudha launches Calci Milk, Mago Dahi, Mango Lassi

Bihar’s number one milk brand Sudha launched five new products at a function in Patna on March 6, 2010. Bihar’s Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Minister Ram Narayan Mandal inaugurated the function.
Sudha Dairy, a wing of the Bihar State Cooperative Milk Producers Federation (Comfed) came up with “Sudha Calci Milk” aiming to meet 75 per cent of daily need of calcium of an adult. Other products were “Mango Lassi”, “Mango Dahi”, Goldcone ice cream and Sundane ice cream.
