Non-Gazetted employees on war path

Joint Struggle Front (JSF) consisting of Bihar State Non-Gazetted Employees Federation (Gope Group) and Bihar Secretariat Service Association decided to wait and watch Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar willingness to address employees grievances about pay panel recommendations before taking final decision on indefinite strike.
This was decided in a meeting of the associations in Patna on January 5, 2010.

Non-Gazetted employees to go on strike

Bihar State Non-Gazetted Employees' Federation (Gope Group) rejected pay panel's recommendations and threatened to go on indefinite strike from the third week of January.
This was disclosed at a press conference in Patna on January 4, 2010.
The association demanded salary and allowances as per recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission.
