Dalai Lama offers prayers to Bodhi tree at Bihar CM Nitish Kumar's official residence
Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama visited Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's official residence in Patna on January 4, 2013. Dalai Lama offered prayers to Bodhi tree sapling at CM's residence. The sapling is branch of Bodhi tree of Bodh Gaya where Lord Buddha had attained enlightenment. The sapling was planted there on November 18, 2011.

Buddha statue unveiled at Buddha Smriti Park
Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his cabinet colleagues including Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi visited Buddha Smriti Park (Buddha Memorial Park) in Patna on January 4, 2013. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar unveiled a life-size statue of Lord Buddha in the park. Dalai Lama also met Buddhist monks and followers, who had arrived in Patna to participate in World Buddhist Meet.

Patna celebrates 74th birth anniversary of Dalai Lama
Tibetans living in exile in Patna and leaders of several political parties celebrated the 74th birth anniversary of the Dalai Lama in Patna on July 6, 2009.Tibetans implored their spiritual and temporal leader to continue to live as the sole protector and saviour of all sentient beings until the end of the Samsaric world and prayed for the resolution of Tibet issue.
