Vice-President M Hamid Ansari in Patna





Vice-President of India M Hamid Ansari was in Patna on July 12, 2011 to participate in the 94th birth anniversary celebrations of former Bihar Chief Minister Satyendra Narayan Sinha. Bihar Governor Debanand Konwar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and several other important dignitaries participated in the function. Ansari, who was the chief guest in the function delivered the keynote address in the first SN Sinha Memorial Lecture.
Earlier, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar also felicitated Vice-President M Hamid Ansari.

Nitish Kumar meets Vice-President Hamid Ansari


Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar called on Vice-President of India Md Hamid Ansari in New Delhi on February 2, 2011. Nitish Kumar was in New Delhi on his two-day official tour. He also met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and renewed his demand for grant of special category status to Bihar.

'Khuda Bakhsh Oriental Public Library is treasure-trove of manuscripts'





Vice-President of India, M. Hamid Ansari delivered “Khuda Bakhsh Memorial Lecture” on the theme “Identity, Citizenship and Empowerment” at Khuda Bakhsh Oriental Public Library in Patna on December 12, 2009.
The lecture series was organsied to mark the death centenary year of Khuda Bakhsh Oriental Public Library founder Khan Bahadur Khuda Bakash. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was the chief guest while Bihar Governor Debanand Konwar presided over the function.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar also felicitated Vice-President of India, M. Hamid Ansari on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion Vice-President of India Mohammad Hamid Ansari said Khuda Bakhsh Oriental Public Library is treasure-trove of manuscripts.

Indian Vice-President M Hamid Ansari arrives in Patna



Indian Vice-President Mohammad Hamid Ansari was given a warm welcome by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on his arrival in Patna on December 12, 2009.
The Vice-President arrived here by a special plane of the Army at Jayprakash Narayan International Airport where he was welcomed by Bihar Chief Minister his cabinet collegaues and Bihar Assembly speaker Udai Narayan Choudhary and several others.
