70th Indian Road Congress begins in Patna

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated the 70th Indian Road Congress in Patna on November 14, 2009. Bihar's Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi was also present in the function. Several national and international road experts are participating in the congress.

Speaking on the occasion, Nitish Kumar asked road experts to set standards not just for the national highways but also for roads connecting villages. He said thrust on standards of roads connecting villages had become the need of the hour.

Patna to host 70th convention of Indian Road Congress from November 14 to 17

Pratyay said Patna would host 70th convention of the Indian Road Congress from November 14 to 17 this year. About 1500 engineers and experts from across the country would participate in the four-day meet.
