Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi held a review meeting of the Industry Department in Patna on December 15, 2010. The government chalked out a comprehensive plan for rapid industrialization in the state. For this government will set up an Industrial Promotion Commission to suggest ways for industrial development.
Bihar's Industry Minister Renu Kuamri Kushwaha said state government would chalk out a new industrial policy within three months so that the entrepreneurs of state and outside of state could get maximum benefit of the facilities provided by the government. Bihar State Council of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organised a Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Forum in Patna on December 3, 2010. The forum discussed the reasons that were delaying the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) approved proposals and suggested measures for facilitating the growth of the projects.
