Nitish cabinet approves 25 proposals



Nitish cabinet held its meeting in Patna on August 22, 2023. A spokesperson gave the details of the meeting to the scribes.

The 25 agendas approved by the Nitish cabinet include the approval of the new Government Medical College Hospital in Saharsa. Along with this, an amount of Rs 35 crore has been approved for the recruitment of teachers. Patna, Nawada, Supaul, Samastipur, Gaya and approval has been given to build 10 Ambedkar residential schools in Darbhanga and other districts. 

Rs 259 crore has been approved for the renovation of Saidpur Nala in Patna. Approval has been given to build an engineering college in Shekhpura district. Along with this in Madhubani Rs 31 crore has been sanctioned for the court building. Doctor Rohit Nirala of Munger Sadar Hospital has been dismissed from service.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar held his cabinet meeting in Patna on May 24, 2011. The cabinet had decided among others to extend the benefit of assured career progression (ACP) to the doctors teaching in medical college hospitals provided there's no break in service.

Bihar Cabinet holds meeting on agriculture


Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar held a cabinet meeting on agriculture to prepare a model at CM Secretariat in Patna on April 26, 2011.

The meeting first-ever in India of this kind was held to explore the ways for boosting the agrarian sector. “Bihar is the first state in the country to address the agriculture sector in such a big way with the setting up the specific cabinet on agriculture,” a senior official said.

Presided over by the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the cabinet meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, besides 17 other ministers of different departments, including water resources, irrigation, energy, rural works, sugarcane industry, animal husbandry and disaster management.

Bihar CM Nitish Kumar holds cabinet meeting


Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar held a meeting of the cabinet, the last of his present tenure in Patna on November 23, 2010 and decided to recommend to the governor Debanand Konwar seeking dissolution of the 14th Vidhan Sabha.

The cabinet also thanked all state government employees for their co-operation and support during the past five years.

Bihar Chief Minister holds his Cabinet meeting

The Cabinet meeting decided to enhance the compensation amount of Rs 50,000 to Rs One lakh to the victims of terrorism, communalsim, caste riots and those killed during electioneering.
Earlier the state government used to pay a compensation of Rs 50,000 under the above mentioned heads but the compensation amount had been been increased upto Rs one lakh from today.

Bihar cabinet holds meeting on floating restaurant MV Ganga Vihar






Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar held his cabinet meeting on Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation's 48-seater AC floating restaurant known as MV Ganga Vihar in Ganga on Makar Sakranti day (January 14, 2010) with an aim to promote Ganga tourism in the state. This was the third cabinet meeting outside Secretariat. First was held at Begusarai village, the second was at Rajgir hills. Special Bihari delicacies (Chura and Dahi-beaten rice and curd) were served during the meeting.
The meeting decided to form Bihar Revenue Service and Bihar Rural Development Service-the two new services in the state. It also decided to restructure Bihar Adminstrative Service.
A Bihar Heritage Development Committee and making the Bihar river pollution-free including the river Ganga were among the other important decisions taken in the meeting.

136 Primary Health Centres in Bihar will become 30-bed hospitals




Bihar Cabinet on Tuesday decided to up grade 6-bed 136 Primary Health Centres to 30-bed hospitals with an expenditure of Rs 276.4 crore.
The cabinet approved delegation of powers to divisional commissioners to settle gairmazarua aam land in favour of landless members of the Mahadalit community.

The cabinet sanctioned Rs 55.67 crore for multi-sectoral development scheme in minority community dominated districts.

Other important decisions are;
Marks in interview for Bihar Judicial Services examinations will be 100 instead of 200 at present.
Rs 150 crore has been sanctioned for Mukhyamantri Nagar Vikas Yojana.
Rs 6.27 crore has sanctioned for research projects at Rajendra Agriculture University.Rs 15 crore has been sanctioned for Mukhyamantri Kanya Suraksha Yojana.
