Manav Vikas Mission meeting held

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar presided over a review meeting of Manav Vikas Mission (Human Development Mission) in Patna on February 5, 2014. Bihar Education Minister PK Shahi and Chief Secretary AK Sinha were present in the meeting. The meeting has set a target of bringing down the fertility rate to 2.9 per cent from 3.5 and infant mortality rate to 26 per 1000 and maternal mortality rate to 99 per 1000.

Bihar Government goes tough against ultrasound centres

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar presided over the fourth meeting of the monitoring committee of the human development mission in Patna on April 6, 2013. Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi also participated in the meeting. Addressing the meeting the Chief Minister ordered a crackdown on ultrasound centres engaged in ugly business of female foeticide.

Bihar to prepare road map for human development

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi participated in the meeting Human Development Mission at Planning Department in Patna on December 18, 2012. Presiding over the meeting Chief Minister Nitish Kumar directed the officials to prepare a concrete road map for human development for the next five years.Till now 18 indicators for the human development have been finalised.
