Lalu family is the biggest landlord of Bihar, says Sushil Modi

Patna, April 13, 2017: Former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi alleged that RJD chief Lalu Prasad's family was the biggest landlord of Bihar in the 21st century.

Addressing the Ambedkar Jayanti celebration function at Bharatiya Nritya Kala Mandir here on Thursday, he said the family had become the owner of huge Benami property in the last a few years.

He demanded that Lalu family should declare their property neither BJP would disclose the evil doing.

Speaking in the function, Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly Dr Prem Kumar alleged that Bihar Government was against backwards, dalits and poor.

Former Bihar BJP chief Mangal Pandey, Subodh Paswan, Arun Sinha and Nitin Navin were present on the occasion.

Bihar CM Nitish Kumar inaugurates Ambedkar Jayanti celebrations

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated the 120th Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar Jayanti celebrations at SK Memorial Hall in Patna on April 21, 2011. Addressing the function Kumar claimed that the Centre had acknowledged the use of term “Mahadalits” for the extremely backward classes, whose social uplift his government was committed to.

“I am happy that the term Mahadalit is now being used and has been accepted by the National Advisory Council (NAC) led by UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi. NAC has identified the word. States should also accept it for the uplift of Mahadalits," he said.
