Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar released a book "Mahila Shanti Sena" written by Acharya Ramamurti at a national seminar on women empowerment in Patna on January 22, 2010.Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said the society could not be developed without active participation of women.

Seminar on role of media on women problems
Patna District Administration organsied a seminar on role of media on women problems in Patna on october 12, 2009.Professor Kiran Ghai, MLC, inaugurated the seminar.
Speaking on the occasion, project director of Women Development Corporation, Irina Sinha announced that women help line would be made functional in all disricts of Bihar.
At present the help line is working in 18 districts.
