Akhilesh Singh reposes faith on Congress leadership

Akhilesh Singh, who recently joined Congress from RJD, said he had not submitted any list of prospective candidates to Congress high command. Talking to reporters in Patna on September 28, 2010, Singh said he had full faith on Congress leadership and hoped people of Bihar would decided in favour of Congress in the forthcoming Bihar Assembly election.

Former Union Minister Akhilesh Singh quits RJD

Former Union Minister and RJD leader Akhilesh Singh resigned from all posts and primary membership of the party in protest against RJD chief Lalu Parasad’s bid to ignore his demands to give more tickets to upper castes and Muslims in the 12 Assembly seats of East Champaran Parliamentary constituency. Akhilesh Singh disclosed this at a press conference in Patna on September 18, 2010.
