Indonesian Ambassador Ghalib meets Bihar CM

Indonesian Ambassador to India Lt Gen (retd) Andi M Ghalib called on the Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Patna on April 5, 2011. During the meeting Indonesia offered to supply coal to Bihar for thermal power plants.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said the State Government would explore the possibilities and take up the matter with the Centre as to whether the coal from that country could be made available to Bihar for thermal plants in the state.

Indonesian Ambassador Ghalib in Patna

Indonesian Ambassador to India Lt Gen (retd) Andi M Ghalib (in pix left) was in Patna on April 5, 2011 for five-day tour of Bihar. Ghalib held meeting with the members of Bihar Industries Association at BIA hall. Speaking on the occasion the Indonesian ambassador emphasised on the need to encourage cultural tourism between the two countries and said that his country has been issuing to the Indians visas on arrival since 2002.
