The killing of demon king Ravan popularly known as Ravan Vadh or Ravan Dahan was enacted at Gandhi Maidan in Patna on October 11, 2016 on the auspicious occasion of Vijaya Dashami or Dussehra.

Dussehra celebrated in Patna

Effigies of Ravan, Kumbhakarn and Meghnad were burnt at Gandhi Maidan in Patna on October 13, 2013 to mark the Dussehra celebrations. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was the chief guest. However, gutsy wind coupled with non-stop rains due to the super storm Phailin dampened the spirit of the people.
