Security was put on high alert in Patna on March 12, 2010 following a high-power bomb detected beneath a private vehicle on March 11. Police checked every vehicle before entering into Bihar Assembly premises.

Security tightened in Patna

Security has been beefed up in Patna on February 16, 2010 and as well as across Bihar in the wake of February 13 German Bakery blast in Pune and attack by Maoist guerrillas on joint forces camp in Silda in West Bengal.
Security has been tightened at Patna Airport, railway stations, bus stand and all important religious places after taking serious note of these incidents.
Security personnel have also been asked to keep a close watch on the anti-social elements.
