1250 students appear in Super 30 admission test


As many as 1250 students appeared in the Super 30 admission test at Government Girls School Bankipore centre in Patna on July 14, 2013. Super 30 an initiative of Anand Kumar to provide free residential coaching for IIT-JEE to 30 meritorious students mostly from poor families. In the past 11 years 281 students from Super 30 had cracked IIT-JEE.

24 students crack ITT-JEE 2011 from Super 30



Students of Super 30 who cracked the IIT-JEE 2011 celebrated the momentous moment with their mentor Anand in Patna on May 25, 2011.

Twenty-four students from underprivileged sections, of the total 30, have this time made it to the IIT-JEE from the Super-30 founded by mathematics wizard Anand Kumar.

With this the total number of Super 30 students, having qualified for the IIT-JEE in the last nine years, has gone up to 236.

Huge rush for Super-30 admission test


A record number of candidates turned up for admission test to 'Super-30', best coaching centre in Asia 2010 as rated by Time magazine, for 60 seats to crack IIT JEE in Patna on May 19, 2010.

In all 11,500 students from Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh besides Bihar appeared in the test.

"Super-30 has a pass rate of 100 per cent. Whatmakes that feat even more remarkable is that these students are the poorest of the poor who would otherwise never be able to afford full-time coaching," the Time magazine which recently selected the institute among the best in Asia in 2010 had said.

The institute's founder Anand Kumar provides coaching along with hostel and travel to all students free of cost.

Japanese scribe meets Anand

Super 30, an initiative of Anand Kumar, drew Japanese attention as Yuzuru Takano (right) of The Asahi Shimbhun, one of the leading newspapers of Japan called on Anand at latter's residence and also met students of Super 30 in Patna on February 20, 2010. Takano also talked to the family members of some successful students. Super 30 helps talented poor students to prepare for IIT entrance test.
