Pappu Yadav joins Third Front


Madhepura MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Papu Yadav, who is the president of recently formed Jan Adhikar Party,  joined the Third Front led by Samajwadi Party and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in Patna on September 19, 2015. The six-party Third Front will fight Bihar Assembly election jointly.

NCP demands Modi's resignation

Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) held its working committee meeting in Patna on January 9, 2011. NCP national general secretary Tariq Anwar presided over the meeting.

Later, talking to reporters Tariq Anwar demanded Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi's resignation for allegedly making derogatory remarks against Rupam Pathak, who publicly stabbed BJP MLA from Purina Raj Kishore Keshri to death, and trying to influence probe into the case.

Tariq Anwar slams NDA government report card


Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) general sercetary Tariq Anwar criticised the report card of four-and-half year NDA government presented by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and termed the report card a "bundle of lies".
Tariq Anwar was addressing a press confernce in Patna on July 12, 2010.
He said that there was notning new in the report card and allged that the NDA government had relied on statistical jugglery and political chicanery and media maipulations to tell the people of Bihar as well as the country and beat the drum that the state was developing.

NCP issues 'black paper' against Nitish Government

Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) released a 'black paper' on the eve of the Nitish Kumar led NDA Government completing four years in office in Patna on November 23, 2009.

Releasing the paper NCP general secretary Tariq Anwar (left in photo) said since the four years' 'misrule' of Nitish Kumar Government ushered in bad governance and gave free hand to the bureaucracy to lootpublic money with impunity. "We have termed our report card against the present government as black paper," he said.
