New Bihar Congress chief Kaiser takes charge

Mehboob Ali Kaiser took over the charge of Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee president from outgoing president Anil Sharma in Patna on June 10, 2010.

Kaiser also vowed to make the Congress a force to reckon with the blessings of their seniors and the youth wing.

Kaiser, an MLA from Simri Bakhtiarpur in Bihar's Saharsa district took over the charge from Sharma in the presence of AICC general secretary, in-charge Bihar affairs and Union
minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, Mukul Wasnik.

After taking over the charge Kaiser said that bringing unity in the rank and file of the party would be his top most priority and bring back the old glory of the grand old party.
Earlier, Kaiser and Wasnik were accorded grand welcome at party office Sadaquat Ashram.
