UID registration begins in Patna
General Post Office (GPO) Patna on June 24, 2011 launched Unique Identification (UID) card registration process. Bihar State Religious Trust Board Administrator Acharya Kishore Kunal inaugurated the scheme by registering himself for the UID. The UID number will be issued by Unique Identification Authority of India. Bankipore, Patna City, Lohia Nagar and Danapur are the other post offices which have been assigned to register people for UID.
