Bihar CM Nitish Kumar inaugurates Veer Kuer Singh Vijayotsav function in Patna

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated Veer Kuer Singh Vijayotsav celebrations in Patna on April 22, 2011. The function was organised by Veer Kuer Singh Seva Samiti. The Samiti also felicitated Nitish Kumar on the occasion.

Addressing the function, Bihar Chief Minister reiterated his commitment to fight against corruption. He said the next election would be fought on the issue of corruption. He also announced to construct a tourist guest house at Jagdishpur, the birth place of Veer Kuer Singh.

Veer Kuer Singh remembered

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar paid floral tributes to Veer Kuer Singh at Martyr's Day function in Patna on April 28, 2010.

The Chief Minister also inaugurated the function that was organised to mark the martyrdom of Veer Kuer Singh. Nitish Kumar also released a book on Veer Kuer Singh on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced that Ara-Chapra road bridge over the river Ganga would be named after Veer Kuer Singh.
