Ravi said that according to the information given by the meteorological department, the monsoon has arrived in our state. There is a possibility of rain in all the districts of Bihar in the coming days. Heavy rain warnings have been issued in many states. He said that the entire administrative system is alert, active and ready to deal with any situation.

He said that according to the ‘set standards’ all the preparations have been done by the administration. The work of cleaning the major drains and ancillary drains has been completed. Adequate number of diesel and electric operated pumps, DG sets etc. have been arranged in all the sump houses.

Alternative arrangements have also been made by the administration to deal with special situation. The executive agencies have been directed to be ready and proactive. For speedy disposal of water-logging, a control room has been set up at the Patna Municipal Corporation headquarters. Along with this, helpline number and toll-free number have also been issued. A quick response team has been constituted by the administration, he said. ” There is no need for the general public to worry,” he said.

While inspecting the temporary sump house, Bakri Bazar, near Saidpur, it was found that the drain located there is completely blocked and consequently the water flow was blocked.
