Ramai Ram joins Janata Dal (United)

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announcing the formal induction of former Bihar Minister and Dalit leader Ramai Ram into his party Janata Dal (United) in Patna on June 22, 2009.
Ram, a former RJD minister joined the Congress just before the Lok Sabha election and unsuccessfully contested the polls from Gopalganj parliamentary constituency.
Geeta Kumari, daughter of Ramai Ram and RJD MLC Dinesh Kumar Singh and several other RJD leaders also joined the JD (U).
