Jagdev Mishra elected president of PNB Employees Union (BIhar)

Patna: Jagdev Mishra was elected president of the Punjab National Bank Employees Union (Bihar) while BK Mishra was elected as general secretary of the state body in the 13th Golden Jubilee Conference here on Sunday.

Several leaders of All India PNB Employees Federation were present on the occasion.

Trade unions observe protest day

Members belonging to different trade unions joined a nation-wide protest day and court arrest programme in Patna on November 8, 2011. They took out rallies staged demonstration at the important places of the Patna to raise their protest against price rise, rampant corruption, violation of trade union rights and disinvestment in PSUs.

Trade uinon activists stage protest against price-rise and government's anti-labour policies

Trade Union activists belonging to central trade unions staged strong demonstartion in Patna on March 5, 2010 in protest against spiraling price rise and Union Government's anti-labour policies. They also courted arrest in support of their country-wide "Jail Bharo Andolan" (Fill the Jail Movement). All the Bihar Units of INTUC, AITUC, CITU joined the movement. Activists also blocked the movement of trains in some sections of East Central Railway.

Trade unions to launch 'Jail Bharo Abhiyan'

Trade Union leaders expressed their concern over spiraling price rise and anti-worker policy of the government in Patna on March 3, 2010. In this regard, central trade unions across the country decided to launch nation-wide "Fill Prision Movement" on March 5, 2010.
