Rajnath Singh lauds Bihar CM Nitish Kumar's Janata Darbar

Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Rajnath Singh called on the Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar at his residence in Patna on January 10, 2011 to condole the death of his mother. Rajnath Singh also witnessed the Bihar CM's Janata Darbar and felt impressed by the way Bihar Chief Minister organised the programme and heard the grievances of the people patiently.

Rajnath Singh hits out at UPA government on price rise

Senior BJP leader Rajnath Singh charged that the UPA government for its inability to tame price rise and avoiding discussion in Lok Sabha under Rule 184 which mandated voting by its members.

Singh was talking to media in Patna on August 9, 2010.

He said Congress-led UPA government had not respected even a standing parliamentary procedure.

He alleged that UPA government had defended the price rise due to recession at one point and later cited the global increase in prices of goods and high growth rate to justify inflation.

Singh said his party had demanded probe into the alleged corruption in preparations for the Commonwealth Games.
