Bihar Legislative Council Chairman Tara Kant Jha inaugurated two-day international seminar on Rabindra Nath Tagore at Patna College hall in Patna on February 17, 2012. Kavindra Rabindra Mahotsav begins in Patna
Two-day Kavindra Rabindra Mahotsav began at Mithila Charkha Samiti hall in Patna on December 10, 2011. The function was organised by Union Ministry of Culture as a part of the 150th year celebrations of Nobel laureate Rabindra Nath Tagore's birth anniversary. Bihar Art, Culture and Youth Affairs Minister Dr Sukhda Pandey inaugurated the seminar. The 150th birth anniversary of Nobel laureate poet Rabindra Nath Tagore was celebrated in Patna on May 9, 2011 with great zeal and enthusiasm. Bihar Art, Culture and Youth Affairs Minister Sukhda Pandey inaugurated the function at Rabindra Bhavan. Magadh Mahila College celebrates 150th birth anniversary of Kaviguru Rabindra Nath Tagore

Bihar Governor Debanand Konwar inaugurated a function which was organised to celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Kaviguru Rabindra Nath Tagore at Magadh Mahila College in Patna on September 29, 2010. Speaking on the occasion, Bihar Governor said Rabindra Nath Tagore was Kalaguru as he was a great poet, musician, educationist, artist, writer and philosopher. Students of the music department paid tributes to Tagore by presenting his compositions and dance sequence on the occasion.

Tagore's Patna visit remembered


A function to commemorate the Patna visit of Kavi Guru and Nobel Laureate Rabindra Nath Tagore in Patna on March 17, 1936 was organised jointly by Bihar Bangalee Association , Bihar Bangla Academy , Department of Geography and Department of Bangla at Patna University Wheeler Senate Hall in Patna on March 24, 2009.
