Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurates Patna Kite Festival
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated Patna Kite Festival on the banks of Ganga in Patna on the occasion of Makar Sankranti on January 14, 2012. The Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation (BSTDC) organised the festival to promote tourism in the state. The first ever festival draws expert kite-makers and fliers from different parts of the country. Designer's kites of several varieties are displayed at the venue. The BSTDC provided the kites, string and spool for free to the participants for taking part in the event. Bihar HRD Minister PK Shahi and Tourism Minister Sunil Kumar Pintu were present on the occasion.
