Expedite membership drive, BPCC chief Ashok Choudhary tells party workers

Patna: Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee (BPCC) president Ashok Choudhary has asked the office-bearers of all its district units to add people from all communities and religions as Congress member.

Reviewing the progress of party’s membership drive, he said: “The country is standing on a cross-road and in this situation our responsibility has increased by manifolds. This is the work and responsibility of every party worker to reach out to people and tell them about the anti-people policy of the central government”.

He said the membership drive of the party would continue till May 10.

He also asked the party workers to tell people about the policies of the Congress party.

Congress workers take out Prabhat Pheri

Patna, April 11, 2017: Congress workers and leaders led by Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee president and education minister Ashok Choudhary took out "Prabhat Pheri" (morning march) on Tuesday to commemorate 100 years of Champaran Satyagrah movement led by Mahatma Gandhi.

The Prabhat Pheri began from Martyrs Memorial (near Vidhan Sabha) and culminated into a meeting at Mahatma Gandhi's statue at Gandhi Maidan.
