Bihar CM Nitish Kumar visits Jiradei

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar addressed a public meeting at Jiradei, the native village of India's first President Dr Rajendra Prasad on February 16, 2010.
Speaking on the occasion he said Jiradei would be developed as a tourist site.
He also visited the late President's study room and examined his personal effects.
Nitish Kumar said the state government had a specific plan for the development of religious and historic sites of academic and research interests and Jiradei was one such.

Bihar CM's Pravas Yatra reaches Chapra


Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar visited places of historical importance at Chirand, Chapra, during his Pravas Yatra on February 14, 2010.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister said Bihar government was committed to construct a road bride across the river Ganga for faster connectivity between Saran and Ara.
