2022: NDA Presidential candidate Droupadi Murmu visited Patna on Tuesday and
met the leaders of NDA allies seeking support for the July 18 Presidential
election.
She arrived at the Jay Prakash
Narayan International Airport at 11.13 am in a special aircraft, where she was
accorded a rousing welcome by the BJP leaders.
Union minister Pashupati Kumar
Paras, Bihar minister Jivesh Mishra, union minister of state for home Nityanand
Rai and other leaders welcomed her at the airport. Digha MLA Sanjeev Kumar
Chaurasia was also present there.
Later, she garlanded the statue of
Birsa Munda situated at the Old Secretariat. Leaders of the BJP's Mahila Morcha
welcomed her in front of the BJP state office. Tribal women gathered there also
welcomed her in a grand manner. Several leaders and workers of BJP's Scheduled
Castes and Tribes Morcha and Kisan Morcha did not lag behind to welcome her.
NDA's presidential candidate
Draupadi Murmu also held a meeting with MLAs and MPs in Patna. He appealed to
everyone to support her in the Presidential election. Chief minister Nitish
Kumar welcomed her. During this slogans of Murmu-Nitish Zindabad were raised.
In the afternoon she attended the program
organised at Hotel Maurya where she appealed to the NDA constituents to support
her in the elections. She held a meeting with Bihar chief minister Nitish
Kumar. In the programme, Nitish Kumar felicitated her.
