87 Percent Students Pass Bihar Board Intermediate Examination




Bihar School Examination Board chairman Anand Kishor released the results of Class 12 annual Examination (Intermediate) in Patna on March 23, 2024. About 87 percent students passed the examination.

BSEB tells plus 2 schools to hold class 11 internal exams from May 16


Patna, April 20, 2017: Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) on Thursday has directed all its affiliated plus 2 schools/colleges to conduct the class 11 internal examinations from May 16.

BSEB chairman Anand Kishor said all the plus 2 school principals had been asked to conduct class 11 internal examinations from May 16.

He said principals had been told to submit results of class 11 examinations in hard and soft copies to district education officer office by May 25.


He said the results of the three faculties (science, arts and commerce including vocational course) would be in one excel sheet. The format of the excel sheet had already been made available by the board to the schools, he added.

BSEB gives 10 years age relaxation to trained candidates for TET

Patna, April 15, 2017: Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has revised the age eligibility criteria for Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) for primary teachers.

BSEB chairman Anand Kishor said the decision had been taken as per the guidelines given by the education department to give a chance to maximum possible candidates in the examination.

Now, trained candidates as well as physically challenged persons will get 10 years age relaxation in upper age limit.

The minimum age for application will remain 18 years for basic grade candidates while the minimum age for under graduate grade will be 21 years. The upper age limit will remain the same as fixed by the government.

The candidates appearing in the final year examination of the two-year BEd course, four-year BSc BEd  or equivalent course or two years Basic Training course after Intermediate can now apply for the written test that will be held on June 11 next.
The BSEB will publish a revised version of the TET notice soon.

The online registration for TET has begun on April 8 and the last date of submitting e-challan is April 27.

BSEB cancels affiliation of 50 more schools

Patna, April 12, 2017: Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) on Wednesday cancelled the affiliation of 50 schools/colleges for not fulfilling the affiliation criteria.

With this, the BSEB has so far cancelled the affiliation of 174 schools/colleges for lack of infrastructure and other essential papers to run sound academic activities.

The BSEB had 212 schools/colleges under suspension after the intermediate topper scam surfaced May/June last year.

BSEB chairman Anand Kishor said that affiliations of 26 schools had been annulled while FRI had been lodged against five schools.

He said the BSEB had given time to 4 schools to rectify the anomalies while 2 schools had been suspended.

He said the BSEB had moved forward on reform mode and no schools would be permitted to run its business without fulfilling the required criteria.
