JD(U) working committee meeting held in Patna

Janata Dal (United) held its working committee meeting in Patna on February 9, 2011. JD(U) national president Sharad Yadav, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Bihar JD(U) president Vashistha Narayan Singh and other senior leaders of the party participated in the meeting.

Addressing the meeting Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said an alternate plan was being considered to ensure development of the legislators' areas on their recommendation. It may be mentioned here that Bihar government had scrapped allocation of funds under the Local Area Development (LAD) scheme for MLAs and MLCs about two months back.
