Rich tributes paid to Shrilal Shukla

Rich tributes were paid to noted Hindi litterateur and Sahiyta Akademi Award winner Shrilal Shulka at a function in Patna on November 4, 2011. The "Rag Darbari" fame Shrilal Shulka died recently.

  1. Shukla received the Sahitya Academy Award, the highest Indian literary award, for his novel Raag Darbari in 1969. He received the Vyas Samman award in 1999 for the novel "Bisrampur ka Sant" , and in 2008, he received the Padma Bhushan.
