Pakistan High Commissioner to India Salman Bashir was in Patna on October 25, 2012. Bashir called on the Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and discussed the outline of Bihar Chief Minister's proposed visit to Pakistan. Nitish Kumar will be visiting Pakistan on the invitation of chief ministers of Punjab and Sind provinces. Later, talking to reporters Bashir said Nitish Kumar's visit to Pakistan would strengthen bilateral ties between India and Pakistan. Kumar also felicitated Bashir by presenting him a memento.
