Pro vice-chancellor of Patna University SI Ahson and Dr Shamshad Hussain, former vice-chancellor of Magadh University released a novel "The Great Return of Doctor Faustus" written by Ashutosh Kumar, a student of MA first year (English), Darbhanga House, Patna University, in Patna on March 25, 2010. The novel is inspired by Christophar Marlowe's "Doctor Faustus".

Rakhi Kumari, a class IX student of Government Girls’ High School, Gardanibagh finished last to win Bihar Diwas slow cycle race championship title at Gandhi Maidan on March 24, 2010. Kavita Thapa of Government Girls’ High School, Shashtrinagar and Ruby Kumari of Government Girls’ High School, Boring Road, clinched the second and third positions respectively.
